I just had to share this amazing image! It is real and not a composite. It is only one shot. Dad was just inches away and had his eyes glued to her. She was in a very deep sleep which made this possible. Thank you mom and dad for bringing her in so soon. This probably wouldn't of been possible if she was past day 7. I know she won't be fitting on the guitar much longer. It was so cute when her little toes hit the strings and played a tune for us. I think she has a promising future... Who said you had to play the guitar with your fingers?

Ms. E was only 7 days old and nearly slept the entire session. This is the best when they are under 2 weeks because they are so sleepy and we can get all those beautiful newborn poses. Her little brother was so sweet when we put the tutu on her. He said, "My baby sister is a princess."

This was so much fun! Guess what Ms. P's favorite song was??? This first image just makes me giggle. It is the part of the song that goes, "down came the rain and washed the spider out" She not only did this once but continued to do it the same exact way each time we sang the song.

Wow, Can time fly any faster? I have had a lot of babies turning one this month. It makes me happy but kinda sad. I know I am going to miss them because they won't come as often, but it is so special to me to see them reach all their little milestones and continue to grow. I had a wonderful time with Mr. Handsome today! We even got a smile. The bucket does in deed have a story... It was my grandmothers. It is actually part of a whole ice cream production. I used just the bucket of course but you can make homemade ice cream with all the pieces. I remember years ago when grandma would come with her ice cream. It was absolutely delicious! Enjoy the treat of the sneak peak!

A Busy Girl!

Remember the 12 hour photo shoot I had out of state about a year ago??... well meet Ms. P. again. She is a little over one now. Wow how the time flies. Thank you Brad and Michelle for making the trip to me. I will be honest she is "One Busy Girl" I had my work cut out for me that day. I know it comes with the age, but my pants were grass stained and I was wiped out after this one. We did not get her to sit, stand or hold any sort of pose on command. She was just in her own world. She is a beautiful baby though and these are some of my favorite images. I know I really captured her true self and personality at best.

At just 6 days old Miss Baby A slept just about the entire time. Her mommy brought the cutest diaper cover and hat. She purchased it off of Etsy. I find alot of really cute items on Etsy as well.

Do you often think to yourself, "What am I going to put there?" Instead of investing in a framed painting or metal candle wall thing (Believe me I do have one of those is my house) I would rather have a beautiful image that has meaning to me...in my life... now. I am going to start displaying some images in "real homes" to give my clients ideas on how to decorate with portrait art. With such a "digital" world out there I think people often forget how touching a real physical print can be. I know I was filled with emotion when I put this piece together and I know this family will cherish this image for many years to come!

The 12 hour Photo Shoot That I LOVED!

Here's the story.... My friend had a little one a few weeks ago. I decided to take a crazy 10 driving trip for 3 days. I drove there one day, stayed one day to shoot, then drove home the next day. It was crazy I know but worth it! I decided to take some images of her sisters baby as well. Well....the time flew by and daddy had to work late on this day of all days. This little one was wiped by the end of the day. I think the last shot I took was 10:00pm when she finally fell asleep. I included a funny photo between shots as well. Their dog really wanted to get in a photo (as you can tell he is looking for attention) So lets just say we did incorporate him and the family photos turned out "complete" with everyone. The last image makes me laugh. Even though it was a short trip I has a great time and am glad I took the journey.
